Non-ionic surfactants for agriculture

Surfact-V is a water soluble, non-ionic surfactant system that lowers the surface tension of the spray droplet and increases the leaf surface wettability. Since they have no charge they do not interfere with the pesticides, fungicides or fertilizers. Surfact-V is not a pesticide or fungicide but enhances the effectiveness of spray solution’s active ingredients.

Surfact-V improves the uptake of the active ingredient by the plant. Surfact-V is a highly concentrated surfactant and 3.5 ml of Surfact-V per 10 liters of spray solution is

recommended for most insecticides or fungicides. Always read and follow label directions for optimum results.

UltraWet lowers the surface tension more than any conventional non-ionic surfactants. UltraWet is a

superspreader that helps in stomatal flooding of the

active ingredients. It can be used to lower spray volume and lower active ingredients usage rates. It results in enhanced coverage over the leaf surface, increases plant penetration. It has shorter drying time resulting in reduced rainfall degradation.

To visualize the spreading effect of UltraWet we recommend you  to place a drop of water on a leaf surface and add a  small droplet of Ultrawet to the water drop. The spreading also results in penetration of the foliar spray into the leaf. Soil pesticides can be made more effective by using UltraWet. UltraWet is recommended at a rate of 0.035%-0.05% (35 ml to 50 ml/ 100 litres) of the final spray solution for foliar application and 0.1% (100 ml/ 100 litres)  for soil application.
